Industry leaders gather for energy efficiency launch

The LPG team was delighted to assist our client Anesco with the management of a very special event, held in Devon in early June.
"
a way to install
efficiency measures
at no upfront cost. "

From handling all PR to designing, issuing and following up invitations, producing folders and branded pens, liaising with a specialist AV company to design the staging, and project management on the day itself, the event was a fantastic cross-team, multi discipline project.

Council leaders, stakeholders and leading figures from within the renewable energy sector were invited to join Anesco for the launch of a UK first in energy efficiency.

Mid Devon District Council became the first organisation in the country to tackle its energy usage by undertaking a fully funded, multi-site and multi-measure ‘ESCO’.

As part of the ESCO, Anesco undertook an energy audit and feasibility study, before completing work on five of Mid Devon Council’s corporate buildings and the council is now in line to save up to a third on its annual energy expenditure, while saving over 690 tonnes of carbon per year.

Adrian Pike CEO of Anesco, explained: “The completion of the ESCO model in Mid Devon is paving the way for other councils and organisations looking to tackle their growing energy costs and emissions. The beauty of the model is that it offers councils, businesses and other organisations a way to install efficiency measures at no upfront cost. It generates both instant and long term benefits and at the end of the agreement, organisations will also be left with a more efficient building stock.”
