Leepeckgroup goes wild
Leepeckgroup has landed a major new account.
The Aspinall Foundation is a leading international wild animal charity, ranking among the world’s most important organisations devoted to the conservation, re-introduction and future management of endangered animal species. It operates two world-renowned conservation and safari parks in Kent, and runs many significant projects around the world.
Following a multi-agency pitch, Leepeckgroup walked away with the honours and is now tasked with re-branding and raising the profile of the endangered animal charity, as well as driving visitor traffic to its two animal parks in Kent.
The two parks offer exceptional (and differing) day-out experiences. The Aspinall Endangered Animal Park at Howletts is home to many threatened species, and its captive breeding programmes are globally significant. The park itself was bought by the late John Aspinall and has grown over the decades, in both size and stature.
The nearby Aspinall Safari Experience at Port Lympne offers an exciting, active day out for families and people of all ages. As its name suggests, the park is all about getting out there and seeing endangered animals in a natural setting.
The African Experience takes visitors on Safari – a rugged safari truck with a driver-guided tour meanders through the 600 acres of lush grass and woodland overlooking a sweep of land that meets the English Channel coastline.
Visitors can also book Port Lympne Mansion for a wedding day or corporate event unlike any other. Or they may choose to overnight at the authentic Livingstone Lodge – a collection of stylish tented rooms overlooking the Port Lympne watering hole which teems with wildlife at dawn and dusk.
2010 will see the marketing activity gather real momentum. A new website is planned and Leepeckgroup has devised a creative marketing strategy that will help drive web traffic and secure significant online bookings for the two parks, as well as helping The Aspinall Foundation in its fundraising efforts.
“This is a major coup for us to secure the work of such a prestigious and popular operation,’’ said Leepeckgroup managing director Sue Thomas. “Our work with clients such as National Boat Shows, Barratt and Fitness First illustrate our strategic and proactive approach to marketing and this experience will be used extensively for the Aspinall Foundation.’’
Bob O’Connor, managing director of Howletts and Port Lympne Animal Parks said: “Leepeckgroup was the natural choice for us. The team really connected with our work and our ambitions. The agency’s proposals excited and challenged us and we are looking forward to a long and productive partnership.’’
