Comeback kid cycles again on the Alpine Challenge!
Returning from a serious knee injury, Lee Peck notched up an impressive hat trick in September when he completed his third 500 mile charity cycle ride across France. Along with his team mates – Steve Wilks, Alistair Currie and Lance Else – they raised more than £2000 for Cancer Research UK and Rose Road. Special thanks too to LPG client Hendy Ford for providing the team with a Ford Transit as a support vehicle.
Aptly named the Alpine Challenge, the route from Laon to Annecy near Geneva, took in some spectacular mountain scenery as it weaved in and out of the nether regions of the French Alps. Although Lee drove the support vehicle last year, he was thrilled to be back in the saddle to complete his hat trick. “It was brilliant fun as always – but this year it was spectacular. Some of the views were breathtaking – helped by the wonderful weather. One of the most memorable things for me was the communal lunches put on by two of the teams: Raw and Hide. This year their theme was the spaghetti westerns - it was superbly surreal!”
