Cultivating success

Green fingered residents and visitors to David Wilson Retirement Homes’ Willow Grange in the market town of Wantage, were thrilled when Charlie Dimmock paid a visit to officially launch the development.

Leepeckgroup arranged for the gardening expert and TV presenter to visit Willow Grange to wow everyone with a gardening demonstration and tree planting.

Residents and visitors enjoyed light refreshments while Charlie, most famous for featuring in the BBC’s Ground Force, put her planting skills into practice with an array of flowers and plants explaining how they are looked after.

Charlie happily answered a range of questions from the residents and visitors who were delighted at being able to quiz the gardening queen.

“You cannot under estimate the importance of booking the right kind of person for an event,’’ said LPG chairman Lee Peck. “We had a great crowd at the event and David Wilson Retirement Homes secured a number of sales from visitors on the day – I can’t imagine a Radio 1 presenter having quite the same positive effect.’’
