| | London’s Biggest Boat Show Returns for its 55th Year
The London International Boat Show returned to ExCeL from 9-18 January 2009, celebrating 55 years of bringing the best of boating to the nation’s capital.
Leepeckgroup worked hard to deliver the extensive creative marketing campaign. This year, marketing activity extended across press, outdoor, radio advertising and sponsorship, on line, e-marketing and direct mail. The London International Boat Show is a 'must visit' event for all. From those people with a long held passion for boats and boating or simply those who want to take the first dip of their toe in the water.
The line up this year was unbeatable. Not were there hundreds of fascinating boats on display, from historic replica vessels to the latest in marine technology, but fantastic live stage shows of ‘underwater’ extreme acrobatics, dance and music - A Mermaid's Tale. There were fashion shows three times daily, a chance to meet boating heroes such as Dame Ellen MacArthur and Adrian Flanegan, A SeaSkool and World of Water Discovery Trail for kids and families. Visitors also had the chance to join in with Deck Games and to watch the sailing regatta on the Royal Victoria Dock. With over 500 exhibitors showcasing power and sail boats, dinghies, deck equipment, charter holidays, sailing courses and much, much more, the 2009 Show was an undeniable success.
