TV’s Suzi Perry launches digital dogtag
LPG has drafted in all action television presenter Suzi Perry to launch an innovative new emergency device for motorbike riders.
Suzi, who is best known as the pit lane interviewer for World Superbike and MotoGP is set to take the wraps off UTAG this month at the NEC in Birmingham.
UTAG – exclusively distributed by Southampton-based Bike It - is being launched at Motorcycle Trade Expo, with the unveiling part of an integrated marketing campaign which has also seen LPGF involved in the launch advertising, web design and PR strategy for the new product.
Joint chairman Lee Peck said: “This is a really exciting, innovative gadget and needed a big push to launch it firmly into the motorcycle sector. We sourced Suzi Perry, who is well known in the biking world, to enhance credibility to the brand.
“UTAG is initially targeted at motorbike riders, but it has a lot of mileage and we are looking forward to launching it in vertical sectors including horse riding, cycling and outdoor sports like rock climbing.”
Exclusively distributed by Bike It, UTAG was developed by SAS soldiers for use in an emergency and has a unique and durable dogtag design which electronically stores vital information on a USB ‘stick’. Designed to stand out to emergency services, it shows the international medical symbol and the letters ICE, meaning ‘in case of emergency’.
