Southampton Football Club were moving from The Dell, their home for over a century, to their new ground at St Mary’s Stadium.

| the solution: |
Such a significant occassion called for an event which created national attention. The world’s largest football shirt was commissioned from sports clothing manufacturer, Umbro and unrolled on launch day at the new stadium by 70 Fire Fighters from Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service. The shirt weighed over half a ton and took seven minutes to lay out. An official representative from the Guinness Book of Records was on hand with a tape measure to confirm that we had indeed produced the world's largest football shirt and entered into the famous record book.
